Northern Spirit BC has an endorsed Constitution lodged with The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS). 

These rules bind the Club’s operations and provide important governance for both the Committee and Members.

Code of Conduct

You are now a member of Northern Spirit Basketball Club family.

As part of this family, there are certain standards of behaviour which must be adhered to and codes of conduct observed. Your behaviour and attitude on and around the court will reflect on our Club.

Be ready to play and follow your coach’s instructions at all times and make the most of the opportunities presented to you in and around the club throughout the season!

Parents and spectators are reminded that children play basketball for their enjoyment. It is expected that all players, spectators and their associates conduct themselves appropriately whilst attending all basketball related activities.

Northern Spirit Basketball Club has adopted the Basketball Australia / Basketball Western Australia Code of Conduct for all players, coaches, spectators and officials.

There is an expectation that all club members abide by the Code of conduct. More information on the codes, can be found on our website and via;

Northern Spirit Basketball Club, along with KBA, have the power to impose disciplinary actions and penalties on players, parents, coaches, teams and volunteers should any breach occur.

Northern Spirit Basketball Club has adopted the Basketball Australia / Basketball Western Australia Code of Conduct for all players, coaches, spectators and officials.

Players Code of Conduct:

  • Understand and play by the rules.
  • Respect referees and other officials
  • Work equally hard for yourself and for your team.
  • Be a good sport.
  • Treat all players as you would like to be treated.
  • Play for the “enjoyment of it” and not just to please parents and coaches
  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person.
  • Be prepared to lose sometimes.
  • Listen to the advice of your coach and try to apply it at practice and in games.
  • Always respect the use of facilities and equipment provided.
